Who is Mylas Grey?

Mylas Grey is a private investigator in Washington, D. C., but don’t call him a private detective. That would be his father, who owns the Kelvin Grey Detective Agency in Columbia, Missouri, where Mylas grew up.

Instead of following in his father’s footsteps, Mylas left home when he was eighteen and moved to Washington, D. C., where he received a law degree at Georgetown Law.

Mylas’s ambition in life had always been to become a successful lawyer, earn lots of money, and have a great social life, and by the time he was forty, he’d achieved all those goals.

What he hadn’t achieved was happiness. Because of that, Mylas decided to make some changes.

He gave up practicing law and became a Chief Investigator for Senator Davis Allen, the head of the Senate Judiciary Committee. He also broke up with his long-time girlfriend, and he got a dog.

Each change brought a measure of happiness for a while, but it wasn’t until Mylas was forced to return to his hometown to investigate the disappearance of Senator Allen’s daughter, Lizzie, that he realized why happiness had eluded him for such a long time.

It took a beautiful photographer to show him he’d been looking for happiness in all the wrong places, and once Mylas discovered what he’d been missing, he figured his life would change.

It did; just not in the way he imagined.
